Hi friends & new subscribers,

Is your 2022 going well as you've been hoping?

Mine certainly isn't.

Or at least, that's what my brain is telling me. Ever since I've been self-employed, I've been having many self-limiting beliefs. (Who isn't these days?)

It's been harder to show up more confidently online as I feel discouraged by my self-doubts.

So this week, I want to talk about the topic of upper limiting.

How Upper Limiting Works

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where everything is going well, and suddenly you feel like it's too good to be true, so you do something to mess it up?

Yeah, that's called an upper limit behaviour.

Coined by Gay Hendricks in his book, "The Big Leap," the upper limit problem happens when you believe that you have a maximum threshold for happiness.

When your happiness level goes above the threshold, your brain can't handle it, so it does something called self-sabotage and brings it back down.

Most of these self-sabotaging behaviours are unconscious.
