Hi.
I hope you had an amazing holiday!
I just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year.
I hope all your wishes came true last year, and if they didn't, that's okay.
You get to start with this new year.
Your inbox is probably bombarded with "change your life in 2024" content, so I figured you're tired of hearing advices from strangers online.
So in today's newsletter, instead of giving you advice, I'd like to share how I'm approaching the upcoming year in life and online.
So far, none of the "strategies" I've learned from the experts has truly given me the success I wanted online.
But I also refuse to give up on this whole thing.
So, in 2024, I'm changing my strategy. My main goal is to work with my mind, body, and soul. I want to simplify things. My priority in everything I do is to actually have fun.
Honestly, I feel like I've taken this whole thing WAYY TOO seriously, and I hate it.
Content creation is supposed to be fun.
I want to stop "focusing" so much on my content creation journey because it's ALL I think about, and it's unhealthy.
I wake up thinking about online stuff, and I go to bed thinking about online stuff.
I honestly feel like I've neglected my physical health. So this month, that's changing. My focus is going to be on my health.
I'm currently doing a 7-day detox smoothie where my breakfast, lunch and dinner will be replaced with smoothies.
The goal is to eliminate most toxins by consuming healthy and delicious green smoothies. I'm currently on day 3, and I'm not going to lie, it's been really hard.
I noticed that I've been more fatigued and had more headaches, which suggests that I've been really bad with my water intake.
So, I've also been doing tiny habits to increase my water intake. For instance, I reused a mason jar (from pasta sauces I've bought), and I drew four checkboxes for each day.
Surprisingly, it's been really helpful to remind me that I need to drink a lot.
I'm very visual, so having *super obvious cues* is really helpful.
Anyway, that's my update. I'm curious, what are you focusing on this month?
As for this newsletter, I will treat it as life updates content, and I hope that you stay for it.
I can't promise a weekly cadence since, in the past, that wasn't really fun for me.
BUT, we will see how it goes.
Here’s what you can roughly expect from me in the upcoming weeks/months:
life update on health: detox journey
life update on travel: travelling to Medellin in February
something fun I’m experiencing ;)
Anyways, thank you so much for being here.
Keep having fun,
J
