We live in a hustle culture. We believe that the more we’re doing, the more “productive” and “successful” we are.
At the beginning of the pandemic, I was working 2 emergency nursing jobs, building a coaching business on Instagram, becoming a content creator, trying to be a good partner, daughter and trying not to have a mental breakdown. Except that I did, and my physical health also suffered.
So, I had to give up one job. I had to stop building a coaching business that didn’t align with my values and focus on things that matter to me. I had to focus on myself so that I could show up fully in my life.
I understand why people want to accomplish as many things as soon as possible - get their dream job, have a house, build a family, or maybe even become an entrepreneur. We’re all rushing to get there, that we forget to be in the moment. And over time, we sacrifice our mental health.
