Happy Tuesday!
On a zoom call with a friend last week, she mentioned that she’s having a hard time making a morning routine to stick to. When I asked her what her priority was she said the word “health”. She then continued to break the word health into physical, mental, spiritual health.
To satisfy all those “priorities”, she said that she needed to do yoga, journaling, meditation, read and eat. As an emergency nurse, I told her that’s not how “priority” works.
Prioritizing means doing one thing that you deem is the most important for you.
What does this have to do with non-negotiables? These are the things that you commit yourself to do no matter what. These are things you do for yourself. Things that you enjoy doing so that you can show up in life the way that you want to.
Right now, my non-negotiable consist of this: wake up, drink water, make my bed, brush my teeth, and do yoga. This takes about 40 minutes from the moment I wake up.
