I don't like what I'm doing right now, what should I do?
Be a content creator. Spread your message.
I recently posted an article about how it's okay to change your mind about your career. Two random strangers from the internet directly messaged me on Instagram and Twitter. For someone who's starting to become a content creator, that's a massive win for me.
Why? Because it means that my message is getting out there. My ideas are getting out there. I have my personal beliefs, and I get to express them in a way that I want. The best part? People are resonating with it.
I'm not here to brag about this. The article didn't make me much money, but even better, it brought me, two strangers, from Australia and San Francisco telling me how they feel the same about their work. How crazy is that?
I'm so excited about this whole journey because this is literally why I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm sharing my message to connect with others. I'm sharing my message to build relationships regardless of where we are in the world.
If you don't like what you're doing or if you're looking for something else to do. Start creating. Explore your creativity. I've never felt more excited on my days off to start sharing my stories.
Here are some tips to get you started:
Start to explore what you used to love to do as a child - whether that's writing, drawing, colouring, and talking.
Get into the habit of doing those things more often.
Start sharing your ideas and message on a platform of your choice.
If you're having trouble getting started, but you know that you would love to start something online, let me know. Message me. I've built a lot of courage to do what I'm doing, and so far, it's worth it. Even though I’m taking baby steps.
Lots of love,
Jerine
