Hi friends and new subscribers,
If you're a subscriber, there's a good chance that you're a high-achiever.
You want to make money online sharing what you know or your personal stories. Or you simply want financial freedom.
And because of this, you probably push yourself too hard, too much. This is me most of the time.
In the past two weeks that I've spent time with my family here in Manila, I noticed that I've been working less.
And the truth is, I love it.
I've been doing the bare minimum to make money.
My routine has been like this:
8 am: wake up, do yoga, journal & write down 10 ideas
9 am: work on client and personal projects
1 pm: I go over to my family to eat my first meal of the day

Spending time with my cousins after 6 years
After that, my day goes to sh*t. (Or so I thought).
As soon as I come over to my family's place, we end up doing nothing.
We talk, tease each other, eat more food, sing karaoke at night (yes, we do that), and spontaneously go to night markets.
Throughout the day, I carry my creative tasks in my thoughts:
"gotta write that Linkedin post"
"gotta send stuff to my accountant"
βgotta send my videos to my editor"
By night time, it's hard to do some deep work.
But honestly, I've learned to give myself some slack.
After all, I didn't spend $$$$ to fly to Manila to work. I'm here to spend time with my family, whom I haven't seen for six years (!).
But more importantly, my "unproductive" routine makes me want to work towards a new goal.
I want to learn how to become financially independent working a maximum of 4 hours a day.
I don't know how to make this happen (yet), but I know it's possible.
So when youβre having unproductive days, ask yourself, βhow can I give myself more slack?β

1 writing tip: Write for one person in mind.
Every time you feel like you're stuck in the "what's my niche" mentality, do the following exercise:
What did I struggle with lately?
How did I overcome it?
What should I tell someone who's also struggling with the exact same thing?
This exercise gets me out of my writing rut the fastest way.
